We understand some clients prefer to keep their content private. If you do not want your wedding or business content used publicly, you must request this in writing at the time of booking or content delivery. We will respect and honor your privacy.

Usage Rights & Ownership
All content produced by Lux Photography and Videography LLC remains the intellectual property of the company.

  • Weddings: Clients receive personal-use rights to share, print, and post images/videos. Content cannot be sold, altered, or used commercially without permission.
  • Businesses: Business clients receive licensing to use delivered content for marketing, websites, and social media. However, resale, sublicensing, or unauthorized distribution is not permitted unless agreed upon in writing.

Social Media Management Clients
If you’re a social media client, we may include screenshots or clips of managed content in our portfolio or case studies. You may opt out of this by written request.

BOOKING POLICY

Weddings

Thank you for choosing Lux Photography and Videography to capture your wedding day!

We are honored to be part of this special moment. Please review our booking policy carefully to ensure a smooth and unforgettable experience for both of us.

Booking and Payment

  • A 50% non-refundable retainer is required to officially reserve your wedding date.
  • The remaining 50% balance is due no later than the wedding day, before services commence.
  • Dates are first-come, first-served and cannot be held without a retainer and signed agreement.

Cancellation and Rescheduling

  • All payments are final and non-refundable, including both the retainer and final balance.
  • If you need to reschedule, we will do our best to accommodate within 12 months of the original date, subject to availability.
  • A rescheduling fee of $250 may apply.
  • If Lux Photography and Videography is unavailable for the rescheduled date, all payments remain non-refundable.

Wedding Day Timing and Overage

  • Please adhere to the agreed schedule to ensure full coverage of your day.
  • Additional time beyond the contracted hours will be billed at $250 per additional hour, payable immediately after the event or added to your final gallery delivery terms.

Weather and Backup Plans

  • For outdoor weddings, we strongly recommend arranging a backup indoor location.
  • Last-minute venue or location changes may result in additional fees for travel or re-setup.

Travel and Accommodation

  • Travel within 30 miles of [City Name] is included.
  • For events beyond this radius, a travel fee will apply.
  • For weddings requiring overnight stays, hotel accommodation and per diem expenses may be required and will be discussed during booking.

Copyright and Usage Rights

  • Lux Photography and Videography retains full copyright ownership of all images and video content.
  • Clients receive a personal use license to share, print, and enjoy their wedding media.
  • We reserve the right to use select images and video clips for portfolio, website, social media, and promotional purposes unless the client requests otherwise in writing before the event.

Delivery Timeline and File Storage

  • Final edited photos and videos will be delivered within 90 days of the wedding date.
  • Clients are entitled to one round of reasonable revision requests (additional revisions may incur a fee).
  • Final edited files are archived and stored by Lux Photography and Videography for up to one year after delivery. Unedited/raw footage is not retained unless otherwise agreed.

Client Responsibility

  • Clients are responsible for ensuring venues allow photo/video coverage and necessary permits.
  • Clients agree to release Lux Photography and Videography from liability for unforeseen interruptions (e.g., technical failure, acts of God, extreme weather, or restricted access).

Damages and Liability

  • Clients are financially responsible for any damage caused to Lux Photography and Videography equipment by guests, vendors, or attendees during the event.

  • To save your wedding or event date, we require a 50% non-refundable deposit.
  • This deposit guarantees your spot and covers planning and preparation.
  • The remaining balance is due on or before your event day to keep everything running smoothly.


❌ Cancellation Policy

  • If you cancel more than 30 days before your event, you may reschedule once, based on our availability, within 1 year.
  • If you cancel within 30 days of your event, the full balance will still be due.
  • All deposits are non-refundable, even if you cancel or reschedule.


⏰ Late Arrival Policy

  • Please be on time for your session or event.
  • More than 15 minutes late? A $50 late fee may apply.
  • More than 30 minutes late? We may shorten or cancel your session, and no refunds will be given for lost time.
  • Sessions will not be extended because of late arrivals.


🚫 No-Show Policy

  • If you do not show up for your session, your deposit is forfeited.
  • Emergencies happen! Please call or text us as soon as possible if you are running late or have an emergency.

  • The final balance must be paid on or before your event date.
  • Late payments will be charged a 5% late fee each week the balance is unpaid.
  • No photos or videos will be delivered until full payment is received.

  • If you need to move your date, we will try to reschedule within 1 year based on our availability.
  • A rescheduling fee may apply depending on timing and circumstances.


🌧️ Outdoor Events and Weather Backup

  • Planning an outdoor event? Please have a backup indoor location ready.
  • Last-minute changes for weather may result in extra charges for moving equipment or travel.

  • You are free to share your photos and videos for personal use (social media, printing, etc.).

  • Final edited photos and videos will be ready within 7 to 14 days after your event.
  • We include a limited number of edits to make sure you love the final product.
  • Your final edited files will be stored for 90 days after delivery.
